At Tallbohov School, there are about 400 students in grades F-6. The schools are multicultural, and many families are bilingual or multilingual. The organization also includes a municipal resource school and adapted primary school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you, a special education teacher for the adapted primary school, who wants to help develop our adapted primary school and thereby work for our students' future!

The work consists of planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing teaching together with colleagues and collaborators from the after-school program based on our governing documents and the goals of the organization. The pedagogical responsibility that teachers have to ensure that students achieve the goals often requires inventiveness, creativity, and flexibility.

In the role of teacher, a good ability to analyze the child's needs and the ability to use a well-adapted methodology for the student and the group is required. The position includes mentorship and teaching according to the adapted primary school's curriculum.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the students' needs. The teaching is characterized by clear structures and adaptations that provide students with the best possible conditions to develop both academically and socially, this occurs in collaboration with collaborators from the after-school program and the student health team.

You are responsible for documenting students' knowledge development. You collaborate with other teachers, collaborators from the after-school program, teachers in practical aesthetic subjects, the student health team, and school management.

You maintain continuous contact with guardians together with collaborators from the after-school program and the student health team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed and qualified special education teacher for the adapted primary school in both subjects and subject areas with qualifications in intellectual disabilities. You understand, speak, and write fluent Swedish.
• Experience with visual support and alternative communication.
• For us, problem-solving ability, collaboration skills, and relational competence are important.
• You work calmly and systematically with low-arousal responses and have a positive and inclusive approach to students, guardians, and colleagues.
• You see it as a matter of course to collaborate with your colleagues and share your knowledge and experiences regarding teaching, extra adaptations, special support, etc.
